Hello SF Road Runners! SFRRC is putting together a team to support our friends at Back on My Feet (BoMF), who are hosting a 5k/10k virtual race from October 24th to 31st! BoMF is a non-profit organization that uses running, community support and essential employment and housing resources to transform and empower the lives of those experiencing homelessness. The first 30 people who sign up will get free entry into the virtual race and our team as well as a free t-shirt! So just register to the right and we'll take care of the rest! SPECIAL NOTE: For those who are on our club's Heylo group page please let us know you're taking part in this virtual race there too. It will be what we use for communication between participants. All club members are welcome on our Heylo space. If you haven't seen it, check it out. It's pretty cool and a super effective way to connect among our club members. The virtual race will kick off on Saturday, October 24th and participants will have a full week to log their 3.1 or 6.2 miles for a chance to win prizes. The past two years, SFRRC has supported BoMF through their fun-filled Treadmill Challenges (see pictures below) and we hope to make this virtual race a joyful and rewarding time as well, so please join us! Once on our team (we have donated $750 on behalf of the club - no fund raising is needed) you can bring awareness to this great cause, cheer each other on and win great team (most miles, most spirited, most fundraised) or individual prizes! Also, runners are stronger together (virtually or in-person), so use this opportunity to get better and run your fastest 5k or 10k or just get off the couch!
