Butterfly Habitat Restoration Volunteering at Strawberry Hill, Golden Gate Park

SFRRC is helping the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department enhance the butterfly habitat on Strawberry Hill. Many San Francisco Road Runners run in our amazing parks so we thought it would be wonderful to give back!

Come out to remove invasive weeds, and put in the native plant species that Swallowtails and other butterflies need to thrive! In addition to enhancing habitat, volunteers will learn about the natural and cultural history of Strawberry Hill. It promises to be an inspiring and fun day in a gorgeous setting!

All instruction and needed tools are provided. Thanks!

We've been thinking about this since last fall and are excited to begin helping... Our hill repeats on Strawberry Hill will mean just a little bit more.

When:
Saturday, February 08, 2020, 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM
Where:
Strawberry Hill, Stow Lake, Golden Gate Park
